I would not have bought these if I'd noticed that they were 80% cotton. Cotton soaks in sweat from your feet, which increases rubbing and therefore discomfort/blisters on your feet. I usually use a pair of Bauer ice hockey socks (100% polyester) and these are much better than these Powerslide socks. The Bauer socks move the moisture away from the foot whereas the Powerslide socks soak it up. After a 2 hour skate my feet were very painful, especially around the heel, whereas I can normally skate 4+ hours in the Bauer socks, which are much thinner. Conclusion: a comfortable, thick cotton socks which might work for you, but I would recommend thinner, synthetic socks. | |
