Topaz Roller Derby Skates

Sitting just above the middle of Derby's specialised quad skates in the Chaya range, are these Topaz skates. They provide an excellent foundation for developing your skills further without costing too much. A cool feature is that if you decide Roller Derby is your sport, you can always upgrade the plate, wheels, and other parts for a more personalised style and superior components.

The boot features a low-slung sneaker profile and is covered in Polyurethane Nano Leather, offering both a soft touch and durability against wear from Derby rink flooring or other Derby players, for instance. The Poron/EVA padding is exceptionally soft and comfortable, allowing you to skate throughout the day with minimal discomfort. To improve the fit, Chaya has designed the boot and liner to be fully heat-mouldable, giving you that second-skin feel. It is cut low for optimal manoeuvrability.

For the Topaz, Chaya has opted for their Zena plates. Extremely durable and lightweight, they are also compatible with Chaya's unique Dual Centre Mounting, allowing you to angle the boot to match your specific skating style on the plate. The Power Toe system offers more power, speed, and control, keeping a slight pre-tension in your muscles so you can react swiftly and change direction instantly.

The trucks are crafted from aluminium and are set at a 20º angle.

The Octo Edge wheels are wide and grippy, featuring a 92A durometer.

The Chaya Cherry Bomb toe-stopper provides additional control and manoeuvrability. The semi-soft Jelly Interlock bushings strike a perfect balance between comfort and control. The Wicked ABEC7 bearings ensure effortless rolling speed.
