On this page, you will find a wide variety of roller hockey gear to add the finishing touches to your roller hockey setup. Roller hockey accessories like compression socks are excellent for reducing soreness and boosting energy to the legs. A simple but essential accessory is the water bottle, ensuring you stay hydrated during both training and matches.
You’ll also find protective gear such as hockey jock straps and mouth guards. These will be handy if the puck comes flying towards you before you can get out of the way. Of course, this is just part of the protection you’ll need before stepping on the rink or street, so check out our Hockey Protection Equipment to find everything you need to stay safe.
Roller Hockey Tape to Help Your Grip and Performance
Roller hockey stick tape can enhance your performance on the rink in various ways. It can be applied to the blade, shaft, and handle of the stick and is used by nearly all roller hockey players. It’s made from the same material as ice hockey tape, so if you enjoy playing both roller hockey and ice hockey, you can use this tape for both.
Applying tape to the handle and shaft will improve your control, while applying it to the blade will increase your grip on the puck or ball. Usually available in black or white, you can also choose between a wider or narrower style.
How Do You Tape a Roller Hockey Stick?
There’s no set formula for applying inline hockey tape. For the blade, some players prefer to tape from heel to toe, while others go from toe to heel. This is mainly a personal preference. More important when taping the blade is to ensure consistent spacing. This should be done vertically, with an overlap of about half the previous wrap. Once done, rub the tape to ensure it feels smooth. This will help prevent the tape from coming off on the floor.
