Description
Youth Gone Wild's range of titanium bars offers a stiffness-to-weight ratio comparable to steel bars but with half the molecular density. This results in the titanium bars being nearly as light as aluminium while maintaining the strength of steel. A significant advantage of titanium lies in its elongation and tensile strength capabilities, which makes these bars feel exceptionally flexible compared to steel or aluminium bars. Additionally, this contributes to the bars' durability, as the titanium flexes back to its original shape rather than bending.
Given the cost and mechanical properties of the titanium bars, we primarily recommend them for riders with a certain level of skill. At least intermediate to pro level. This is because they can break similarly to bars made of other materials if misused.
The Flight bar is a reinforced T-bar with strengthening gussets at the junction where the top part meets the downtube. It is slightly lighter than the Digger bar, weighing only 763 grams. It is oversized with an outer diameter of 35mm and is ready for SCS compression.
