Description
Youth Gone Wild's series of titanium bars come with a similar stiffness-to-weight ratio to steel bars but with half the molecular density. This makes the titanium bars almost as light as aluminum but just as strong as steel. The biggest benefit of using titanium comes from its elongation and tensile strength capabilities. This makes titanium bars feel extremely flexible as opposed to steel or aluminum bars. But it also adds to the durability of the bars. The titanium will flex back to its original position rather than bend.
Taking into consideration the price and the mechanical properties of the titanium bars - We recommend these primarily for riders of a certain skill level. Intermediate to pro as a minimum. This is due to the fact that they can break as well as bars of other materials if not used correctly.
This Flight bar is a supported T-bar with strengthening gussets just where the top part meets the downtube. It is a bit lighter than the Digger bar at only 763 grams. It is oversized with an outer diameter of 35mm and ready for SCS compression.
