• Aqua-A

Aqua-A is a solvent-free adhesive based on water, utilised in all Ion wetsuits.

• Seam reinforcements

To fortify stress points within the wetsuit, Ion has added Melco tape to boost durability. Ion advises: “If you inadvertently left the suit in the boot of your car on a sweltering day, they may start to peel off. Do not worry! Carefully use an iron on the affected area as the glue is activated by heat.”

• Contour Cut

Wetsuits that follow body contours to heighten flexibility and comfort. Every Ion wetsuit comes with contour cut.

• Drain Holes

To prevent water buildup where fabric overlaps occur, drain holes are incorporated. The drain holes will not stretch.

• Leg Loop

Removable velcro loops at the bottom of the legs to prevent water ingress from below.

• Robust

In the knee regions, L-Tex nylon is added to shield and bolster durability.

• Internal Key Pocket

Inside the wetsuit, there is a water-resistant internal pocket for keys.

• Supra Tex

Materials used for more vulnerable areas on the wetsuit - such as the knee regions. The Supra Tex fabric provides superior resistance to abrasion.

• GBS - Glued Blind Stitched

To effectively bond neoprene panels, ensuring exceptional water resistance, glueing is combined with blind stitch sewing to join the panels.
