SHELL
The X-Tech shell prioritises strength and support, crafted for a sporty appearance that ensures distinction. Manufactured from a unique composite compound, it boasts exceptional rigidity due to the inclusion of 25% fibreglass in the material. This provides the shell with unparalleled strength and support. It also features a 195mm extended mounting distance with X-slot, enabling adjustment of all frames towards the side, front, and rear to achieve an ideal skating position for everyone. The ventilated underside incorporates the X design to ensure torsion stiffness and optimal power transfer with every stride.
CUFF
Designed with support in mind, the adjustable X-Tech cuff is constructed from a unique composite compound, offering exceptional stiffness with 25% fibreglass infused into the material. Additionally, an aluminium side stride bar is included for increased support. This cuff allows for forward flex adjustment in the hinge area, enabling athletic skaters to gain more flex to front and rear, while intermediate skaters may decrease flexibility for added support and a shallower skating stance. Furthermore, the cuff's height can be adjusted for increased or decreased support. It features a sleek and stylish fast lock buckle.
PADDING
This skate features a two-part construction. The lower section, designed like a shoe, offers a snug fit at the rear to minimise heel movement. The upper section consists of a flexible cuff with thick padding that comfortably wraps around the leg, providing excellent support while allowing freedom of movement. The tongue's padding is three-dimensionally shaped to conform to the foot's contour.
LACING
This model boasts a high-grade PU upper and is equipped with a rapid lacing system using woven loops for quick and efficient lacing. The open sidewall and distinctive two-piece construction provide both optimal ventilation and comfort, as well as a superb and snug fit. With superior stitching quality and meticulous detailing, complemented by a rear carrying strap, this skate is a top choice. The upper is directly attached to the shell, enhancing power transfer and increasing foot support and stability. The Shell Connected Construction (SCC) improves the skate's manoeuvrability.
FRAME
The XC Path frame is an intricately CNC-machined one-piece frame, crafted from a solid and robust extrusion. This frame sets a new benchmark; it is strong, stiff, responsive, and lightweight. It includes two mounting distance standards – the 165mm and the 195mm, allowing for compatibility with a wide variety of overboots if necessary. The frame provides the flexibility to alter the wheel position for varying heights off the ground. The XC Path is equipped with 8mm axles and pressed-in frame spacers, ensuring no additional parts are required and offering a flawless roll straight out of the box. Two frame sizes are available – 17.7” / 450mm suitable for shoe sizes up to 41 EU, and 20.2” / 514mm fitting size 42 and upwards.
TYRES & BEARINGS
The skate is equipped with Powerslide Rustproof bearings, lubricated with lightweight grease. Featuring serviceable shields, a durable composite cage, and seven steel balls, honed and finished to perfection, they promise a smooth and pleasant roll. Special coatings on raceways and balls prevent rust. The 6 ¼” air tyres, produced by Kenda, a renowned tyre manufacturer, include a robust 5-spoke rim. The valve hole is protected with rim tape, familiar in bicycle tyres. The rubber outer casing is robust and long-lasting, boasting an off-road profile for enhanced grip. These inflatable tyres can reach a maximum of 6.3 bar / 90 psi. Additionally, we offer 150mm Super High Rebound PU wheels for skaters preferring to glide on paved roads, enhancing speed.
BRAKE
The Powerslide calf brake provides numerous adjustment options tailored to individual preferences and skating abilities, ensuring a secure feeling and optimal braking function. Skaters can adjust the brake pad in multiple directions, including its angle. The height adjustment feature allows users to find their preferred braking position, whether with straighter or more angled legs. Moreover, as the brake pad wears down, its angle can be adjusted to retain the best braking point for added safety. The pad is easily replaceable when worn. The soft pad, once strapped to the leg, can also be height-adjusted. Finally, the soft pad may shift forwards and backwards. This skate includes only one brake system. Skaters can opt to transfer the brake to the opposite side if preferred, or purchase an additional brake system to attach to the second skate, if they feel more secure with brakes on both skates.
