I really like the leatherette pads (which are very hard-wearing) to replace the plastic pads originally designed for sliders (which slide really well).
I'm mainly into quad skates and walking, and knowing how to fall, it's perfect.
Note for beginners: with this type of protection without a metal rod, the cuffs remain totally exposed.
