My foot is 27.8 cm long and 10.5 cm wide; I got size 43/44 and they fit me perfectly. No pressure points (I have a wide foot)—no issues at all. The rocker setup makes these inline skates just as agile, if not more so, than flat 80mm setups, but these have 90mm wheels that boost speed and let you feel road imperfections less. The Twister 90R is fast, maneuverable, and sturdy. The energy transfer is great, and they’re surprisingly precise for such a big, heavy skate. Performance fit. (I didn’t use a footboard sizer; I tried them on with thin, plain socks.)
1st use: When I first laced up and stood tall, I definitely felt the toe box (shell + liner) but without any pain; with my knees bent, I could just feel the liner at the tip of my big toe, which is my longest toe. By the end of the run, I had a slight feeling that they weren’t quite too small. Perfect width-wise.
Second session: everything felt dialed. A light touch of the liner on my big toe, no ankle pain. By the end of the fourth session, I had even more ankle room. The shell is completely rigid, like a tank.
Wheels: a pleasant surprise; definitely easier to slide than the MF500 86A wheels, even though the Hydrogen is 85A. Grip is superb, and the ride is comfortable. Frame: nimble thanks to the 1mm rocker. After many years riding my old Rollerblade Spiritblade, the difference is simply huge.
The Twister 90 R in size 42–42.5 fits my 270 mm foot perfectly — the fit is precise, extremely stable, and gives that premium feeling the moment you put them on. The hard boot provides outstanding control, while the lateral support is on a completely different level compared to the vintage model I used before.
What impresses me the most is the combination of comfort and control. The Twister 90 R manages to feel sporty, aggressive, and incredibly stable without sacrificing comfort. Moving from the Spiritblade to this model feels like jumping several generations ahead in technology.
I’m happy with this purchase and would highly recommend this model to anyone looking for a real upgrade to premium, fast, and precise inline skates. They truly did an excellent job with the Twister 90 R.
