We are of course sorry that the product has not lived up to expectation, however, it should be said that "brakes" for pro scooters are only designed to slow you down or avoid a potentially dangerous situation and are not suitable for blocking the wheel completely. 🛴
One reason why the brake may not have lasted as long is if the wheel has worn down too much, as the metal has to bend down further. This will cause the brake to crack.

When not secure, this brake is capable of tearing up your wheels as the underneath face that actually touches the wheel has sharp edges.
