However, I’m definitely dissatisfied with the workmanship: 1. The frame isn’t properly balanced. On each skate, one wheel is about 1 mm off the ground and doesn’t roll when you let the skates roll on their own on the floor.
2. The wheels were tightened way too tightly upon delivery! This clearly indicates a lack of quality control during production. You need a 12.5 open-end wrench and a tremendous amount of force to loosen the nuts and adjust them so the wheels can turn easily.
3. The boots run very large. We had to return them and order a size smaller, which meant time and return shipping costs. 4. The tongue is attached in a strange way. It wrinkles when you lace them up instead of lying flat against the top of the foot. It takes time and patience every time to avoid creases that could lead to pressure points. The boot is only slightly stiff, but since it’s not made of suede calfskin, that’s to be expected. The flat laces are very good, as are the hooks and the brake; it’s just that the rear wheels seem too far inward to me in relation to how weight is distributed on the heel of each foot. But that might be because I’ve been used to another model for four years—made in Germany, I think—which was just as satisfying but has stretched out too much in the boot since it’s made of genuine suede. The pink color is beautiful—even more so than in the photo.
